Nothing...

I know this will be a let down to all who have become addicted to my sharp wit and intellect but nothing happened today. We had a free day to just rest and it has been the longest day of our lives. We were almost stir crazy.

This morning we tried to brave the breakfast buffet of sliced pig tongue and frog pancreas congee.
Congee is like cooked rice and milk. Nasty!

We finished out legal documents and stared at the walls. It was raining so we couldnt do much. So we ordered Papa Johns. It wasnt as good as home but it will do. Madeline ordered for us and she ordered a 9" cheese pizza and a live goat. We ordered a large supreme and a coke.

She really enjoyed the pizza. She must have been a garbage disposal in a former life because she eats all day. She really has a strong personality. I try to talk chinese to her but all she says is kung pow chicken and stuff like that.

We did get together with the other couple here and spent a few hours with them so that was nice. We went for a walk after the rain stopped and braved the crazy traffic.

Madeline had a pretty good day only one "postal scene". Tomorrow we fly to Guangzhou for our final 6 days. Guangzhou is supposed to be more western.

We miss you all and love you much. Kisses to Hannah, Hayden and Camden.

Jay, you might need to get a second job when you get home to handle all that extra food Madeline is going to eat . I suggest you check with the newspaper and see if you can have your own daily column. I would subscribe!!! David spent three weeks in Guangzchou with Wrigleys many years ago. Hopefully it will be better for you guys. Still praying and love you !!

Jay and Shannon,
I am just looking at the blog with Shelley and I'm really happy for you and Madeline! Some of the pictures sent it home along with the reality of her previous home and "family" of orphans. Madeline is a blessed young lady! Though just pictures, you can tell that she knows she's loved and now has a family. Super cool and amazing. Can't wait to meet her. (Especially because she will be a niece...! :)
See you real soon. We are keeping you guys in our prayers...

Hey Jay,Shannon,and Madeline,

My wife sure does miss ya'll. I wanted you to hear a funny story about the rain. Last Saturday we had some rough weather here in Milledgeville. As Madison and I sat on the front porch watching the storm pass, she had concerns for you guys. I asked her why she was worried? She said she was afraid that the same storm that we were experiencing was going to harm you guys. I told Madison that ya'll were about 5000 miles away and did't think the same storm system would have any affect on ya'll. I just thought it was funny how little minds work. Anyway, I sure am proud of you guys for your desire to do the right thang. God will pour out many blessings on ya'll for your deligent obedience to his promptings. I sure do love and miss ya'll.

Jay & Shannon,

What a blessing it is to see how the Lord has been working in your lives. It's been years since we've seen each other and it's been great catching up with your lives through your blog. I was in M'ville today and ran into Tina G. She filled me in and sent me the link to read about your journey. I started from day one and couldn't wait to read the next. Like Don H. said, it brought back old memories. Shannon, how awesome it is to hear you not only heard God but you were obedient to Him and followed out His command. This little girl is so blessed to have you two as parents. She is adorable! I had a huge smile on my face while watching the video of Madeline. Be safe on your travels. You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers. Love you!

Hey guys,
Just got a chance to check on ya'll the weather was awful here today, lots of rain, thunder and lightening. Anyway, I think even though a day doing nothing makes you stir crazy, God knows when we need to rest! So, I hope ya'll were able to get some good rest. We are leaving Saturday for the beach and will be home the next Saturday, so ya'll will beat us home! I hope to be able to keep up with ya'll while we are gone! Just know that no matter where I am, I am praying for you all (especially a safe return) and thinking of you always! Being able to check in on all like this sometimes makes me forget you aren't right down the street! It's wonderful to be able to share a little of your journey with you. Take care of each other and be safe. Miss you!
love,
jodi

We tried many times to call you today but always got a busy signal. Sure glad you did talk with the kids this morning. PawPaw took the boys (one at a time) for haircuts today. They really liked Mr. Chad and all the mounted animals and fish on the walls. Both of them did super and got a sucker and a starburst from Mr. Chad. While I was at the barber shop with Cam, BaBa stayed with Hannah and Hayden. They painted sun-catchers with a special paint stain. They are excited about showing them to you when you get home. We saw that Hannah had written you while at Jill's today. We know she really liked getting to do that.

We did have a big thunder storm this afternoon. Lots of rain and lightning. Everything and everyone are fine.

We got a kick from your "Nothing" day. I love all the varieties of Chinese cuisine that you are trying. Can't wait until our next dining experience at China Garden. Mama and I got so tickled imagining Madeline and Cam talking to each other. When Madeline tells Cam, "Kung Pue Chicken," Cam reply's "I got poop."

You are all in our thoughts and prayers each day. Hope your flight tomorrow goes well and everything in Guangzchou is a good experience.

We love you all. Hugs and kisses.
See you soon.
