Here she is!!!

Wow what a day...we went to meet Madeline at 5pm and we were so scared...and with good reason. She didnt want to have anything to do with us. All she wanted to do is run. So we had to fill out our paperwork. She wouldnt let us hold her or talk to her. It was very hard to swallow. I guess we thought everything would be perfect. She has lived with a foster mom for almost 2 years and they both were very attached. We got her back to the room and the chaos ensued. She tried to open the door every 5 seconds. We tried to comfort her but it didnt work. So I ordered french fries and now everyone is super. Here is a picture of her. For those of you that dont know...she has a port wine stain on half her face. Didnt want to alarm anyone.

Again thank you for the comments...please keep em coming.
Jay

She is beautiful. Have been waiting so long to see her smile and just love it. French fries do the same for us. Throw in a chocolate milkshake with them and watch out. So happy to know that your are safely there.
We know it has been quite an ordeal getting there. Our inconviences and sufferings for His sake and His will, will receive much reward. We are so proud of you both and thank God so much for you. We're holding you all in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers and count the days with Hannah, Hayden, Cam, and Max when we will all celebrate at the Bentley house.

What a sweet sight to see first thing in the morning.... a beautiful smile from sweet Madeline. And to think, I thought only fish soup would make her smile like that:>) She is straight cheesing for some french fries. So cute. Shannon, you looked so happy in the picture at the airport. I am glad to see that you both arrived safely and that Jay is still alive... although I am not sure of that because I haven't seen pictures of him:>) Our God is so awesome to have orchesrated this whole thing. Now that you have finally reached her, you can sit back and bask in His Glory. We are so proud of y'all and what y'all have done. Savannah is steadily planning their tea party when y'all get home. Craig just brought the globe in here and said....whoa, they are a long way from home. We are ready to see y'all. Love you both very much.

Hey, stop checking our comments and get some rest, right?

But anyway, thanks for blogging for everyone to keep up with your adventures. I logged on this morning before Sunday School and printed the new picture of Madeline Faith, and ran around the church showing it to so many people. I went right over to Hannah's class, and she saw the picture and smiled, and proudly told everyone that this little girl is her new baby sister. The youth spent some time praying for you during our Sunday school, too. And Mitchell announced to the congregation that you had welcomed her into your family "this morning" (or this evening for you). So anyway, your Northridge peeps are all very excited for you. Woot!

Jay and Shannon-

It is so cool to be able to keep up with you guys. This journey has been in the works for so long and I am amazed she is now with you. She is beautiful. I know it is a major transition for the both of you, but there is no doubt she will open her heart to you very soon. She will see your warmth, the sincerity of your hearts, and feel the depths of your love.

Jay, I am sure Shannon has loved you with your happy camera taking photos of her. It is great to see you in each setting and we will look for more each day.

I hugged Hannah at church this morning as she was there with Miss Joe. She was looking precious as always. Try not to worry. I was thinking of how you read to them every night so I am sure they will have the books stacked up for you.
We love you guys and look forward to your safe return.

Sorry I did not get to help "see you off", but you all were - and continue to be - in my thoughts and prayers. What a smile Madeline has! It will light up a room. She is beautiful and we cannot wait to meet her! Enjoy your time in China ~ just another experience in Life. She will adjust as all children do, but the unfamiliar always takes time, and a lot of prayer and patience which her Mommy and Daddy both have in abudance. God led you to her and He will lead you through whatever obstacles there are. All of us at the White House (children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren)send you all our love. Aunt Judi

What a site! She is so beautiful and your mom and I are so proud of both of you. God has blessed our lives in so many ways and continues each day. HE gave us you, HE gave us Shannon, HE gave us Hannah, Hayden, Camden and now HE give us Madeline. HE gives and gives and never takes. This child is so lucky to have you five as her family and just look at her extended family, friends and the blessings she will recieve each day...All provided by a caring and loving God. I know you and Shannon have what it takes to make this work so this child has a life filled with love and most of all God The Father. I have prayed so much since you and Shannon have left and in some of the craziest places. Yesterday I was at the "flea market" and picked up a bamboo back scratcher and on it was Made in China. I stopped right there and said a prayer for this precious child, Shannon and you.
