Awake!

You know sometimes God wants us to be awake and sometimes he wants us to rest. As I sit here at 12:23 a.m. I have 100 thoughts running through my mind. I am comforted by Gods words. Specifically James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

That just struck me mighty hard tonight. God calls us to love each other and is very specific in the fact that He calls us to orphans and widows. I see it as Him wanting us to reach those who are in need.

It amazes me how we all become polluted by the world. It makes me think of all these courageous missionaries who leave "the world" and go and seek God's face in Jungles and distant places.

What we are doing is not easy but those people who risk their lives for Christ AMAZE ME!

God only calls us to do a few things. Imagine what it would be like if a church and a country and a world that would answer.
